ANTM’s Plus-Sized Model Winner: Thoughts?
Sigh. I’ve been mulling over this for two days, but I must ask you: what do you think of America’s Next TopModel’s winner Whitney Thompson? I’ve been reading articles on how she’s “not really a size 14,” but I definitely don’t agree. After checking out her stats, she’s incredibly tall and that’s what has made her look a little slimmer after all.
What do you think? Are you annoyed that she’s called “plus-size” or just happy that someone of a different size won. . . for once?

I go back and forth on how I feel about the whole thing.
When I see her, I don’t think of a size or how much she weighs. I think, “She looks great! Healthy!” I suppose I could believe that she’s a 14, but what does that mean anyway? A size 14 would look a hell of a lot different on me (5′3″) than it would on me. So what? Size doesn’t matter, its your health and the way you feel that matters.
As far as being called “plus-sized”, Its accurate in a way, but in another way its not. She’s definitely plus compared to the impossibly thin, unhealthy models that don’t eat, but is it really a plus-size when in actuality she’s just a normal everyday, healthy size/weight?
If I was Whitney, I wouldn’t worry about any of that though. I’d just focus on being the best me that I could be and the fact that hey, I’m America’s Next Top Model.
..and lets face face it, the girl is gorgeous and she sure can take a great picture.
