Can Plus-Size Women Pull Off a Satin-y Dress?

I love this Kiyonna Sunburst Charmeuse Dress, but do you think it works on plus figures? This type of shiny, shiny fabric can be very daunting, especially when you wear a size 20 or more! What do you think?

I would recommend a matte metallic color in a strappy style, with accessories to match. You could also dress up a pair of shoes that you already have (if you are on a budget) with a fun shoeclip in pearl or rhinestone!
