Musing on Top Fashion Stars
While it’s trule that I’ve been peeking at Cory Kennedy’s blog recently, she’s not really my “style type.” The matchstick figure, the devil-may-care ensembles that only work when you’re young, and smeared eyeliner to boot. . . not really my thing anymore, to be honest, but I was inspired to hunt out fashion icons on my own. I have now come to the conclusion that my style stars are a little bit odd.
*Word of Caution* Given previous responses to the Kim Kardashian post over at About.com, please don’t be offended by whom I respect in the fashion world. . . they have been chosen for very specific reasons and not all of them are plus-sized.
I love Beth Ditto for her adventurous style, I respect Drew Barrymore for her more relaxed approach to dressing up in general, and I think that Jennifer Hudson is just gorg. And yes– I like Kim Kardashian’s style (some of it) and I won’t stop liking it, even though I have seen too many of the Keeping Up episiodes and I’m not sold on her personality. I do love those tunics and embroidered dresses, though!
