Organic Plus Size Clothing

by Meieli on March 20th, 2008

Blue Fish Clothing

Okay, the organic plus-size fashion availability needs to stop. I have been on the hunt for what feels like ages, and despite the fact that I’ve come up with a few good items, it’s still looking dire in terms of selection. I consoled myself with this great Wardrbe Turtleneck, but I still feel like I need to find more. The good news is that it’s available up to a 4X-ish size, and it’s so worth it.

Check out the Comfortique Line here (my personal favorite), and please, please recommend any organic plus sources that you may have. . .

For organic plus-sized clothing, I like the MEWV Sustainables line by Saffrona. They don’t use
zippers, hooks, or buttons, and they are made from organic cotton, bamboo, soy, tencel, and hemp. Best of all, their styles are available in sizes 0 to 28, or XS to 4X. Their website is located at saffrona.com.

Now if only they had answered my emails asking for more information. . . ;)

Hi Meieli - we’ve got a great line of organic plus size clothing at LolaandGigi.com by Diane Kennedy from Vancouver. She does some fabulous pieces in soy & bamboo that are elegant and oh so comfy. We’ll have some great wool & tencel pieces coming for the fall.
